Internet Relationships are a growing population that can't be ignored any more. People are making this way of social behavior a common practice and they can be the way to meet the woman or man of your dreams.
So maybe not all bad internet relationships involve child molesters or three hundred pound elementary school custodians claiming to be macho men, bunny boils or physco bitches. The real magic of the Internet and computers is that you can create a relationship faster. Whether or not it's a good one is up to the parties involved. Honesty, of course, makes it delicate and difficult--unless you have mutual friends there is rarely a way to tell--, but the rewards of setting a relationship's foundation with a strong friendship and intellectual companionship (Whether through the internet or not) can be greater than any relationship that begins with the spark--and fades into nothing.
Put your best face forward and personalize your profile. All online dating sites provide their members a place to post personals ads. As technology improves more online dating sites are beginning to introduce audio and video chat. These services provide online singles a way to see and hear the other person. It gives other singles a five-second-look at you so use every tool in building your personals ad. Some online dating services provide you with the ability to upload a picture, audio clip and even a video clip of yourself.
To make a relationship meaningful online make it real, be honest, be yourself and be up front about what you want from a relationship. If you just want a fling say so, if you want a life companion / soul mate then say your looking for friends with a view to something more and maybe marriage. Don't be desperate but don't lie either.
If you are looking for your soul mate / life companion don't it is a good idea to screen out people who don't live close by or at least in your state unless you are prepared to move. Long distance relationships can be fun, but not if you can't afford to visit them often.
So can internet relationships work? the answer is yes. Just take your time to get to your online date.

I agree with your post totally - I must say that online dating has changed really...but so has also changed the fear of meeting someone with his faked profile...I dont consider safe meeting at all guys from facebook, Myspace, match etc - something like Bluepont is what I prefer! - its safe and maintains privacy...I installed it on my cell phone and have been getting good results ...privacy for me is most important...I dont want to meet a 23 year guy (online) who turns out to be 45 year old man!!! So be cautious the next time you go on date with someone you met online!
Online dating ideas generally require a prospective member to provide personal information, before they can search the service provider's database for other individuals using criteria they set, such as age range, gender and location. Most sites allow members to upload photos of themselves and browse the photos of others.
yes, Online and Internet Dating really work because we know very well today lots of person are using lots of matchmaking, Swingers and Dating Site sites for finding their love or partner.
Thanks
